DD3 and I hostessed a bridal shower this afternoon along with another good friend and neighbor. As usual, in spite of cautions by DD3 otherwise, we had a lot of food left over. Of course, we were expecting and planning for twice the number of ladies who actually showed up, so it's all good and I don't feel bad about having extra food. Especially not when the extra food is wonderful fresh strawberries and blackberries. So we had strawberries and blackberries for dinner with our chicken last night, and we'll have them again tonight. I feel so blessed to be able to have fresh berries available almost year around, trucked in from areas where they will grow when we still have cold and even snow sometimes.
Don't you just love having fresh berries?
