Sometimes the simple things in life are the very best. We've had a variety of sicknesses, colds, and viruses visiting our household the past few weeks, and I've been grateful for simple little foods that are quick and easy and comforting: crackers, hot apple cider, ginger ale, instant pudding, tapiocca, ramen noodles, hot cocoa, cream of wheat, toast, oatmeal, quesadillas, eggs, grilled cheese, and baked potatoes among others. I'm grateful for microwaves, electricity, warm blankets, hot and cold running water and indoor plumbing. I'm grateful for clothes washers and dryers and dishwashers and local grocery stores, instacare and 24 hour pharmacies and dedicated and competent people who work there. I'm grateful for working cars with heaters. And loving family members.
