The Book of Mormon is a volume of holy scripture comparable to the Bible. It is a record of God's dealings with the ancient people of America and contains, as does the Bible, the words and gospel of Jesus Christ. It tells of ancient prophets and their teachings. It tells of Jesus Christ's visit to the people of America after his death and resurrection. It tells how the people prospered when they followed the teachings of Christ, and how they were eventually destroyed when they chose to be disobedient. The Book of Mormon teaches how to draw near to God and to Jesus Christ.

I've never read the book or Mormon I'm a Roman Catholic. What a great thing that you read it every day. I just put a copy of the Bible on my tablet and try to do some reading every day if I can.(it's only been a few days:). I'm with you Marcy It's a good thing for the soul.
ReplyDeleteJen, I'm glad that you're reading from the Bible every day. I find that I'm just a happier person every day that I read the words of Christ. This year our family has started reading a chapter from the Old Testament almost every night and now we're in the middle of Exodus. I have both the Bible and the Book of Mormon on my Kindle. It's so convenient to have them handy wherever I might be, while we're traveling and even at church.
