Aspirin and Ibuprofen

Not to complain or anything, but this past week has been a pretty tough one for me.  I have some dental issues that I've been procrastinating taking care of, and occasionally they tend to flair up and be quite painful.  Add to the mix the hottest days of the year so far, and the necessity of being away from home at a conference for work for several days, a possible cold/sore throat, not being able to sleep in a strange bed, and you end up with one miserable woman who has been surviving on massive amounts of aspirin, ibuprofen, chocolate, and water to get through the week.  Thankfully, after a full day and 2 nights of rest in my own bed, the swelling of the jaw and the pain in the head, mouth, jaw, and throat have pretty much subsided.  I feel much better and am no longer popping the pills every three to four hours.  I also resolve to set up an appointment with the dentist to get some of this dreaded dental work scheduled.

I realize that many people, due to health issues of their own are unable to use much of these two fine products to help relieve the pain and discomfort caused by many illnesses and conditions.  To them I extend my greatest sympathy.   I'm very grateful for Aspirin and Ibuprofen, and also hope that no one has to continually rely on them for every day pain relief.

  1. Ehhhh... dental work. I love to hate it. Good luck and I hope that your dreaded visit to the dentist improves things in the long run!
